Hello.
Some time ago I bought a Toyota Avensis T2 D4D 2005 2.0 diesel engine 116cp.
As any driver after I bought the car, I drive the car about 1 month, while the car behaved great.
After a while I decided to change the timing belt, because I noticed that the belt is still the original and the number of miles are to limit..
I go to service to change the timing belt, water pump and the hydraulic tensioners and the rotary pump water.
This was the time when something began to change to the car.
One day driving the car home from work I noticed that the check engine light indicator board is lit and the engine starts behaving strangely (strongly shook without power, disconnecting 2 injectors!)
For the first time I did not know what i need to do. I said there is a faulty injector. I let the engine to cool down and i start the car.
I decided to change oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and oil.
2nd day faulty check engine indicator light comes up .. same error and operation of an engine fault.
because i also given no end to the solution I decided to order on the Internet an OBD2 adapter to read the errors.
after I managed to read ecu errors i notice p0200 Injector Circuit Malfunction faulty code.
p0200 Injector Circuit Malfunction
p0200 this error at first sight I was able to understand that a cable is corroded or discontinued strangled somewhere or i have a faulty edu or one or more faulty injectors.
the easiest way was to start to check all cables and injectors if they work properly.
I changed the battery because i believe is old one and EDU does not have enough power. no results
I continued to drive the car on the risk of error and symptoms reappear.
One day when I parked in the parking lot symptom comes up, because i was nervous .. I started to touch and shake the wires from all engine.. to be able to notice any change of sound or engine working.
until I reached cable from edu .. then I noticed that the engine is wobbling,
I opened the plug on EDU and I realized that it was a strange(moving plastic socket inside) connector.
I gave spree contact and pushed metal legs with a screwdriver
I got the jack with plastic clamps and started the engine.
since from last two months i dont have any error.
conclusion.
when the mechanical change the timing belton ruined my plug on EDU .. exactly the plastic connector.
p0200 error seems to be conclusive on cable.
I hope this story help to solve your problem if u have this error.
Have good day and to drive with care.
